This screenplay was one of my first and I loved
the concept so much that I put funding together to shoot a short film based on it in 1997. The film was shot on Super 16mm
in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and starred a then unknown Chris Klein. The short film was going to be used to promote the concept
and attain the funding for full production. Unfortunately, that never happened, although we sent the trailer to numerous studios.
Three
strange human/farm animal teenagers are born through alien intervention in the Midwest. They are discovered by the local sheriff,
when he investigates strange rock and roll music reportedly coming from the Avery farm. The Government wants them in a lab
and away from the people, while Kral., the
leader of a militant group, who is determined to capture an alien spacecraft, believes the aliens will exchange a spacecraft
for the Manimals.They face trouble from all sides as they fight to be accepted at Madison County High School. |
